The Young People’s Appraisal and Assessment Project
During 2008 and 2009 The Centre at the University of Central Lancashire and Lancashire Children’s Rights ran a project to develop ways of involving children and young people in student assessment and staff appraisal in children’s services. This was funded through the Children’s Workforce Development Council‘s Participation Fund.
The project web site provides materials to help you to involve children and young people more effectively.
The project includes mapping current practice, developing training and guidance materials and regional showcasing and details of all this and materials to help agencies working with children and young people to implement children and young people’s involvement are on this site.
The idea for the project came from meetings with young people looked after in Lancashire and supported by Lancashire Children’s Rights Service.
